Taste of East Harlem 2019 Recap

The 2nd Annual Taste of East Harlem was held on July 21, 2019 at the Union Settlement garden on 104th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. Hundreds of business leaders, and neighborhood residents attended to taste samples from a diverse offering of food and drinks prepared by local small businesses. All drinks and food samples are available at local East Harlem establishments.

Who & What

There were 300 attendees who paid to get a taste of what the 17 local East Harlem food and beverage vendors had to offer.

The live music was performed by the Ochun Afro-Latin Band.

About the East Harlem Buy Local Initiative

The mission of the East Harlem Community Alliance (EHCA) is to undertake joint projects and activities designed to address the needs of the East Harlem community, and serve as a forum through which our members can create connections, share information and continue to grow and thrive in East Harlem.

One of the EHCA’s major project is the Buy Local East Harlem Initiative, which seeks to assist local small businesses by encouraging all East Harlem entities and residents to purchase goods and services in East Harlem.
